Event Reviews (Part 2)

It's Girls' Generation's fifth anniv already. I really can't concentrate much due to this. Go on guys! Rush to twitter and tweet about it. I just washed my hands after drawing the number five using my toothpaste. Gosh, I wasted a lot of toothpaste. Moving on, I'm going to complete my recaps for last week's events because there'll be another event tomorrow. See you all at Donday!

Hallyu Fest (continuation):
There were 12 finalists who danced to various K-pop songs. They were all very impressive. I wasn't that interested though 'cause no one covered So Nyuh Shi Dae. The group that amused me a lot was the one composed of three boys who danced to Sistar's songs. They were able to dance a girl's dance well. Most groups did Exo and Suju covers. The crowd was a bit rowdy and had to be reminded to quiet down from time to time. I guess it was expected though- Boyfriend was present. I glanced at the members of Boyfriend from time to time. They really look a bit like mannequins (in a good way). I wasn't a fan but I glanced in their direction from time to time 'cause they were the first K-pop group I saw in the flesh! Anyway, there was a koreanovela cosplay which was very cute and fun to watch. The kids won. Raffles were held during intermission. Boyfriend performed. (I apologize for simply enumerating the events, I am super sleepy already)

Kfest 3:
Kfest was k-pop merchandise heaven. You could find almost all kinds of K-pop stuff there. From shirts, albums, magazines, keychains to hats, posters, dolls and many more. Too bad I wasn't able to find what I have been looking for though. I wanted to find a 'The Boys' Jap Re:pack bagtag since I lost the one I bought during 3G. I really felt bothered when I lost that bagtag. It was an unexplainable feeling. I felt bare and uneasy without the bagtag. I got so used to it being beside my bag all the time that I no longer felt complete without it. I really wanted to find one during kfest. However, I think it was no longer available and the place was too packed that I could no longer move around. Aside from that, the posters I claimed were in danger of being crushed so I just sat and watched the activities. There was a cosplay competition which was rather enjoyable and somehow entertaining. I'm a bit sad for the lack of SNSD cosplayers. The performances were fine. I wished I could have joined some of the games though. There was also a noraebang and a hanbok dress-up thing. My mistake was that I drank too much water which resulted to me peeing numerous times. Due to my bladder problem, I missed the only (I think) SNSD cover performance. It made me unhappy and caused me to go home. The main point of my attendance though was for me to claim some of the stuff I've bought. I had five meet-ups scheduled on that date. I claimed five starcards, 3 magazines ft. snsd, The Boys, Papparazzi, Baby Baby and Gee. I was happy with all the merchandise I bought. I also managed to purchase Yoona and Jessica Goobne posters and Vita500 laminated posters. The event was fine. I suggest they rent out a bigger space in the future though. I almost forgot to mention the Soshi shrine. It's every SONE's dream to own that much Soshi stuff. It was a feast for SONEs eyes. Hope to attend kfest 4 next year. :)

Event Reviews (Part 1)

Kpop Star 2012

It was a relatively lively and entertaining event. I liked it because the crowd was controlled and not that rowdy. I felt really comfortable with the venue and the performances were good as well. The event started with introductions of the judges and a few words from the director. Then the eleven finalists performed a ballad of their choice. I was happy 'cause one of them performed Taeyeon's 'If'. After their ballads was an intermission where a Korean traditional instrument was played with piano accompaniment. Later, a k-pop dance medley was performed. After the intermission, the finalists performed another k-pop song. Among the finalists, there was one who performed Genie, one who performed Into The New World, and one who performed Twinkle. I was mighty glad that there were many who opted to choose SNSD songs, but can't help but feel that they didn't do much justice to it. Nonetheless, I enjoyed their performances immensely. Also, I was so happy that I was able to see Yoona and Taeyeon standees in the venue. Taeyeon was beside me. :)) I actually moved to the back to get a glimpse of the standees. The event was a successful one and I was very lucky to have gotten a VIP ticket for the Hallyu Fest.

Hallyu Fest:

I felt the adrenaline rush during this specific event. To be honest, I really didn't care about Boyfriend (I didn't mean that in a harsh way). I just wanted to watch what the event has to offer and it's free. You could already feel the rush while outside waiting in line. The people kept on screaming every time they felt that Boyfriend was going to come out. It was certainly an ear-deafening experience. A lot of people were lined up outside the fire exit hoping to get a glimpse of Boyfriend. When we were finally allowed to enter, a lot of fans waiting behind the metal railings were complaining why they didn't get tickets. Others were upset, some felt disappointed. I just went in quietly and found a seat. The theater was packed on the elevated area, but a lot of seats were vacant on the area in front of the stage.

Hallyu weekend?

Well, I haven't been able to post in a while. I had nothing k-pop related to talk about.

Right now, I actually have three events to recap: Pinoy Kpop Star, Hallyu Fest, and Kfest 3. First of all, I would like to thank KCC for those two successful events. I consider myself very lucky to chance upon the registration of Kpop Star which lead me to tickets for the Hallyu Fest. I feel rather bad because my friend wasn't able to acquire tickets for Hallyu fest due to the sudden schedule change of ticket distribution. I had no other extra ticket, so I didn't know what to do. I considered giving her my ticket, but I really wanted to watch the Hallyu fest.

Ok, I have started the post. However, I'll be continuing this after 31. I've got 3 reports set on that date and one exam. Got a lot to do, so I have to put this off for now. Oh, I've got a lot of pics and vids from Hallyu fest. Didn't take much on Kpop Star (I only took pics of Taeyeon and Yoona's life size standees-Taeyeon's was beside me :)) ) and Kfest (only took pics of the soshi shrine). Please bear with me. I apologize for cutting this post. I might post on Aug about Domino's pizza, since the qc store already opened in July. I have to save money though. I'm terribly broke because of my recent shopping spree on snsd merch. Need to save up. Goodbye for now.

Lazy friday

So, I finally managed to get some Lipton products. I saw the iced tea jar my mother had in Bohol and the milk tea box my Lola had in her house. Well, I hadn't really consumed either of them. I'm not in the mood. I can't get my hands on the Lipton Extra Shot variety, so this'll be it for Lipton. Right now, I'm catching up with TaeTiSeo's performances. The heat in Tacloban is hardly bearable. Anyway, I'll be leaving in a few days for Manila. I don't know if it'll be hotter in Diliman though. Looking forward to Sunny and Yoona's bday celebrations. :) Belated Happy Birthday Sunny! Advanced Happy Birthday Yoona!

Ice Cream

So, I wasn't trolling when I said I'd update much later. I just found myself in a Korean grocery due to my mistake. I rode the wrong jeepney and ended up in Malate Church, so I had to walk home. I bought four Korean ice creams. I was a bit happy that I found the ice cream that Juyeon from After School in Invincible Youth ate. See, it's still Soshi-related. Ever since I watched that ep, I've wanted to get my hands on that specific Korean ice cream. So, below are the pics.

I scourged the store for Miero, but found none. Also, they don't have Vita500, only Vita500 Gold. I even saw the tomato juice again- Eew, I ain't touching that ever again. I saw Yoona and Tiffany outside the store. They were on Sky Cable's poster about Korean channels. So, see you in a month or so.

3G and More

So here goes my full account of 3G. :)

First, they showed various clips of SNSD performances. Unfortunately, when I entered the room, the program was already starting so I didn't get to see a lot of clips. The program started with an introduction from the MCs and roll call of groups (e.g. Yoonaddicts, Hyohunnies, etc.). Next, a film showing of early Girls' Generation performances- from debut to Baby Baby-was shown in between activities. It was called 'Relive the Generation'. I really enjoyed watching those clips. After that, some trivia questions were asked and games were played. I particularly enjoyed watching the 'Tanging Bias' which was exactly like 'Tanging Hinga Mo' except you were to say your bias name. It was funny how the participants got distracted by performance videos of their bias. :)) Good thing I hadn't joined. I actually realized on my way home that there weren't any Yoona-biased people who joined the game-I find it odd. Anyway, there were a lot of Taegangers, Fanytastics and Sooyoungsters who were present that morning. There were more games, trivia questions and raffles. Then, they aired the Jessica tribute vid and we were given an hour to have lunch.

Here are my newly-acquired snsd merchandise:

There are only three items there that didn't come from my pocket-my poor pocket. (the bag tag was for early birds and I got two posters-for me and my sister-for joining the Jessica tribute video) Good thing my flight destination got changed from Bohol to Leyte, so my mother won't see how much snsd stuff I brought home. :)

In the afternoon, there were more raffles and a 30-minute showing of the Tokyo Ariake Concert. There were also lots of performances of cover groups. Most of them were really good and I even enjoyed the band and the acoustic stages. After that, were more raffles. I didn't get to win anything even though I joined the three raffles-whatever happened to the laws of probability? I was so envious of those who won; especially those who got the members' shirts, the albums, the visual dreams thing, the Jessica calendar and the photobook. I have so little luck. :( Still, it was a very enjoyable event. Come to think of it, it's the first social event I've attended in a while. I was invited to three debut celebrations this year but I had to decline due to my current location at the time of the celebrations. So, it's the first social event I've been to in the year 2012. I really had a blast and I can't wait for 4G. :)

I just remembered that I forgot to have my mother's camera fixed since I was so occupied with the activities. It was supposed to be one of the purposes of my visit to MOA (aside from 3G and Belgian waffle).

Oh, and here's the Soshi-related product I consumed today:

It's a woongjin tomato juice. Like I said, I need to improvise, so this is it for now. It tastes so bad. I can still taste tomatoes in my mouth. I drank it in hopes of losing my colds, but it didn't help one bit. It tastes bad and the red color sticks to your mouth. Anyway, it's Woongjin which is related to Woongjin Coway.

I still have colds and a bit of a headahce. I got the headache while still attending the gathering, because the temperature was a bit uncomfortable. Anyway, see you all next time and please look forward to my next post (in June or May).

Finally

I feel so elated right now I could jump through the roof- which is 2 floor up by the way. Aaaaaahhhh, I can't believe it. Good thing, I broke free from my bashfulness for just a moment to turn around the bottles. So can you guess what I just found? ...

....

......

.......

I found a Hyoyeon Vita500 bottle. It's like all my frustrations are gone-just momentarily- and I can't stop grinning. Oh My Gosh! I found it. After a long and very thorough search for this Vita500 variant, I finally got my hands on it. Just in time for the 3G actually. So no need to look for it there anymore. Ah, I'm so happy. If you saw me right now, you'd think I'm an idiot for smiling like crazy. :)) Anyway, here are the pics.

So, there are many pics because this is such a rare find. :D I'm just so happy. Also, while I was exiting the grocery store I saw a Vita500 box with Yoona on it which made me realize that the boxes have a random member on. I've got a box with Yuri on it.

I'm so happy. Now, I've got all nine of their Vita500 bottles. I have no plan to collect the other edition-which I have only one bottle of- because my mom might ask me how much it costs. :)) I'm so proud of myself for collecting them- lol. A few months ago, I never even thought I could find a single bottle. I've also decided to improvise for this blog. Like, for example, snsd endorses Miero Fiber but I can't find one, so I'll just purchase another variant of Miero. Same goes for Lipton, I can't exactly find the variant they are endorsing-maybe it's only available in Japan- so I'll just purchase the Milk tea that aren't in tetra packs. It upsets me though that they only sell the milk tea in packs so I haven't been able to buy one 'cause I feel that I can't finish it. So, that's it for now. I'll be posting my report on 3G tomorrow. Hope I get to stay there the whole day. I'll also update with Woongjin tomorrow. Till next time! See you all. Thanks for visiting my blog.

Samyang Ramyun (again)

Ok, so I had Samyang Ramyun for my uber late lunch. Sorry, I really can't seem to find anymore Soshi food products. So, here are some pics.

I had a hard time eating it since it was so hot and I was already so hungry. It still tasted good, but I felt that the first time I ate it, it tasted much better. So, this is what happens when you have a very late lunch:

(Sorry about the pic, my laptop's bluetooth has some problem) Anyway, I wasn't playing with my food- it was purely coincidental. :)) Also, I just realized that I'm wearing the same shirt as last time I ate Samyang Ramyun. :o See you next time guys!

Oh, I still can't find a Hyoyeon Vita500. Maybe there'll be one on 3G. So excited to but the jap repackage album and maybe even AAGG in Phuket. :)

Friday, March 23, 2012

Ok, so this is an odd update because it's not about food. Though it is a tad bit soshi-related. So, recently I got a hold of a Korean passport because somebody asked me to scan it. I'm imagining that this is how SNSD's passports look like.

Sorry I couldn't upload the part that contains the person's pic cause I didn't ask permission. That's all for now. I'll be looking for Domino's pizza and maybe I can get one by April since I'm moving and I think it has a branch near where I'll be moving. SNSD hwaiting! Watch Love Rain and Fashion King :) Also, Music Core, IY and Music Island.

Inter-Dorm Sportsfest

Hi. I'm updating with Vita500 again. Last Sunday, I attended a sportsfest in Ateneo. It was very fun and I was really happy that we got to play 5-on-5 basketball with other girls. I played table tennis doubles and singles for out dorm and we won 2nd place on the doubles event. I brought 2 bottles of Vita500 to replenish my energy. Honestly, I won the matches which were right after drinking Vita500. Whereas I lost during the time that there was a large gap between drinking and playing. I'm not just advertising, it's true. Anyway, it was a super fun event even though we only won two trophies and I badly bruised my finger. I was supposed to play volleyball too but didn't get the chance due to conflicting times. I played a lot of sports and it made me really happy. Oh, I forgot to mention Sister Gemma, the one who manages our dorm is Korean and she smiled when she saw the bottles I was holding. I then asked her if she knew them and she just nodded. I tried conversing with her abouot K-dramas a long time ago but she said that she only knew the past actors, not the recent. These are the bottles: (Tiffany and Sooyoung- to commemorate her b-day)

Sorry

Sorry, I haven't been able to post for awhile. I don't have that extra funds to but snsd stuff and extra time to look for them because I just bought DCFC tickets and exams are looming near. Anyway, I guess I'll be updating on February after receiving my allowance. Hope more people sneak a peek at this blog and let us all support SNSD. :)

Saturday, January 21, 2012

Today, I attended an inter-collegiate sportsfest to play table tennis. I was supposed to have an appointment in the morning but I had to cancel it since they said we'd leave at 8am. It turned out that people were missing so instead we had to leave at 9:15 am. While I was waiting, I read a book but I felt really sleepy so I drank of Vita500, with Sunny on the label, which I had in my bag. Sunny "the energy pill" made me feel more awake. However, my performance during the games couldn't have been worse. I'd say it was the worst event in terms of wins. We won on the elimination rounds as a group but I lost in the women's singles event. I also lost on the semis causing our team to get eliminated since the mixed doubles also lost. I'm a bit sad, but not  that much since I really didn't expect us to win. There were many good players there making me think of training more. An idea just occurred to me: I want to train in China or Germany or anywhere overseas. I don't know, it's just an idea which is not likely possible. Anyway, I'll try to look for more SNSD-endorsed products. My stock of Vita500 is rapidly disappearing-I have come to fancy the drink. One drink isn't quite enough to quench one's thirst.

Friday, January 20, 2012

So last night was Seoul Music Awards. I watched it live at ssf. I was supposed to finished our ppt for our report but SNSD made me stop. :)) Anyway, it was sad that they didn't get the Daesang. Still, snsd jjang!

Last Wednesday, I drank a bottle of Vita500 with SeoHyun on the label because I was supposed to study. However, I ended up sleeping. Still trying to find a bottle of Vita500with HyoYeon on the label- it's the last one I'm missing. SNSD forever.

Wednesday, January 18, 2012

So, last Monday we continued dissection. The formalin burned my eyes and my throat and it really was an excruciating experience. Once I got to the dorm, I immediately took a bath and combed my hair. Then, I had dinner and drank Vita500 with Yuri on the label. I haven't really had much time to find other soshi products and post since exams are looming and I haven't studied much yet. I'll try some of their 7-eleven products next time.  Please tell other Sones to visit my blog. Thanks. SNSD hwaiting!

Friday, January 13, 2012

So this morning I woke up late and had to rush. I had banana milk in the morning during breakfast. It tasted a bit like bubble gum and not very banana-ish. Still, it tasted okay. After preparing for school, I took a bottle of Vita 500 with Yoona on the label to drink in case I get sleepy during my first class.

The Vita 500 kept me awake for awhile but I did doze off for a few minutes. I then downed another bottle and realized that I actually liked the taste of Vita 500 after consuming four bottles in a week. I drank a Vita 500 with Sunny on the label after lunch. Also, I bought a box of Vita 500 this morning and the only bottle I'm missing is HyoYeon's. Will keep looking for it and please look forward to my future posts.

Just tonight after dinner, I also drank a bottle of Vita 500 with Sooyoung on the label. :)

Thursday, January 12, 2012

So, I really felt tired  after we dissected a toad for today's Bio class. Every time the toad moved, I got so surprised that I almost lost my grip on it. Anyway, after arriving in the dorm and taking dinner, I drank a bottle of Vita 500 with Jessica on it. I felt a tad bit energized but I would've been more energized if I heard their vitamin song while drinking it.

On a different note, last Sunday I passed by a Korean grocery to grab some breakfast after attending mass. So I got an ice cream, coffee and something that looked like a dozo. I know this doesn't seem snsd-related but it actually is. This is the first instance that I found a Vita 500 bottle. However, I didn't buy it because I wasn't sure what flavor it was and it the labels didn't have SNSD on them. I might buy a box of Vita 500 tomorrow. :) Please look forward to my future posts and please promote this blog to other SONEs. :)
